ABOUT VELS INSTITUTE OF SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY & ADVANCE STUDIES:
Was founded in 1992 with the intention of developing a person into a whole person with character and aptitude dedicated to national service and progress. In loving remembrance of his father Shri.Isari Velan, a former minister in the well-known Government of Dr. MGR, the trust was established by Dr. Ishari K. Ganesh, M.Com, MBA, B.L, (M.L), Ph.D., a visionary and outstanding educationist. The mission of the Vaels Educational Trust has always been to bring education to underprivileged groups in society and first-generation students.

The Vels Group of Institutes now has university status, thanks to the Indian government's Ministry of Human Resource Development. As a logical result, the founder chairman Dr. Ishari K. Ganesh was promoted to president and chancellor, and he is now in charge of carrying out the strategic plan that aims to determine the institute's future expansion. He envisions a university that will be more globally competitive and a renowned institution.

The highest statutory body of this university, the Governing Board, also known as the Board of Management, is in charge of running it. This Board's members come from a variety of organisations. The University Grants Commission, the Government of India, industry, eminent figures from outside academia, prominent academics, and top university administrators are all represented on the board. The Board, whose chairman is the President/Chancellor, meets on a regular basis to develop policies and programmes for the expansion and improvement of VISTAS.

It is pleasing to see that VISTAS promotes a global culture. At VISTAS, students come from a diverse range of socioeconomic, cultural, and geographic backgrounds.
