Vasant Kanya Mahavidyalaya - VKM is established in 1954. In 2007 NAAC accredited VKM at B++ level for its all round achievement and propagation of value education among its students. Identifying the immense research potential of its faculties NAAC has specifically recommended the college to be developed as a research centre. In 2008 the college has started UGC sponsored Career Oriented Programme in Spoken English and in 2012 another Career Oriented Programme, viz., certificate Course in Fashion Designing started as well. The year 2020 will again stand as a milestone in the history of VKM. BHU has permitted to run UG Programme in Geography & PG programme in 6 departments more, i.e. Philosophy, Sanskrit, AIHC & Archaeology, History, Economics, Political Science.
