About SYMBIOSIS UNIVERSITY OF APPLIED SCIENCE:

Symbiosis was formed by visionary Dr S B Mujumdar in 1971 as an International Cultural and Educational Center. Symbiosis serves as a "home away from home" for a huge number of students, including international students who come to Pune for higher study. His Excellency the President of India conferred the Padma Shri and Padma Bhushan to Dr. S.B. Mujumdar. Symbiosis, a botanical phrase that means "living together for mutual benefit," has expanded over the past four decades into a family of 43 academic institutions offering education from Kindergarten to Post Graduation in a variety of fields. 

Today, Symbiosis is regarded among the best education providers in the country and is renowned for its educational prowess both in India and beyond.

The Symbiosis Open Education Society (SOES) was founded to promote vocational and skill-based education, as well as open and remote learning. Symbiosis Centre for Distance Learning (SCDL), Symbiosis Vocational Junior College, Symbiosis Community College, and Symbiosis Institute of Skill Development are the four core entities of SOES. SCDL was created in 1994 with the purpose of "Reaching the Unreached".

Symbiosis University is a significant educational institution in India. Furthermore, as a result of this, it is home to a large number of foreign students from India and other nations.
