About SANT GADGE BABA AMRAVATI UNIVERSITY:

On May 1, 1983, Maharashtra Day, Amravati University was founded to primarily serve the educational requirements of the rural population of western Vidarbha. The Amravati, Akola, Yavatmal, Buldana, and Washim districts of Vidarbha are under the purview of the institution. This little seed has now developed into a massive tree with around 4 lac pupils. It is interesting to mention that the university boasts a 470.63-acre, lushly green campus with 28 Teaching Departments, a functioning Model Degree College at Buldana, and four Faculties that satiate the students' need for knowledge.

As a result, it targets all aspects of higher education's teaching and learning process with a view to developing students into model citizens, academic leaders, and international businesspeople who will reflect India's leadership in the twenty-first century. The University has a student-centered vision. By giving the students a platform for multidimensional and multifaceted growth, the Students Welfare Section genuinely brings to life this objective. The university's attempts to flourish are supported by sizeable funds from several funding organisations including the UGC, DST, DBT, AICTE, DRDO, DAE, RGSTC, etc. The institution also receives unique distinction through partnerships with the top universities both inside and outside of the nation.
