M.Phil (Buddhist studies) is the scholarly investigation of Buddhism. The term Buddhology was begotten in the mid-twentieth century by Estlin Carpenter – a Unitarian priest, to mean the "investigation of Buddhahood, the nature of the Buddha, and precep
