About MAJULI UNIVERSITY OF CULTURE:

The University intends to expand as a non-affiliating interdisciplinary higher educational institution with a focus on study and research in Indian culture and cultural heritage, with the goal of eventually becoming a University of Category 1 as specified in India's New Education Policy. With its primary focus on the multidimensional cultural lives of the people of India, particularly those of Assam and the North East, the University aspires to become a multidimensional educational institution capable of embracing all disciplines, including liberal arts and basic sciences, pertaining to human cultures and civilization.
The goal is to produce a class of productive citizens capable of leading our society in the face of the multidimensional needs of the twenty-first century. With Undergraduate and Postgraduate programmes, as well as critical research programmes in the humanities and social sciences, folklore, language and literature, music and dance, dramatic and theatre arts, applied, visual, and fine arts, various forms of traditional and modern crafts and vocations, design and architecture, archaeology, ethnography, and sculpture, Indian traditional health cultures and knowledge systems, and any other forms of human knowledge. 
With the primary goal of studying and researching the multidimensional cultural lifestyles of the people of India, particularly those of Assam and the North East, the University envisions itself as a group of multidimensional education that will allow it to include within its scope all disciplines such as liberal arts and fundamental sciences pertaining to human cultures and civilization.
