Ph.D. (Kannada) is a doctoral level course. The course take around three year to complete and its syllabus is divide in six semesters of six month each. The candidates under this degree are required to prepare a detailed thesis on various subjects such as Kannada Poetry, Kannada Drama, Kannada Fiction, Kannada Literary Criticism and Literary History etc. The pupose of this program to offers comparative perspectives of learning by juxtaposing, comparing, contrasting literatures across cultures
