About MADURAI KAMRAJ UNIVERSITY:

Madurai Kamaraj University, founded in 1966 as a state university, was designated as a University with Potential for Excellence in 'Teaching, Research, and Outreach' in 2007. Acts, Statutes, Ordinances, and Regulations regulate the University. NAAC has awarded the University a "A++" rating for the fourth cycle (2021). Doctoral degrees were conferred on 809 Ph.D. Scholars at the 2017 Golden Jubilee Convocation. On September 14, 2017, the HRD Ministry granted the University Second Rank in the category of Government Institutions in the "SWACHHTA" Ranking of Higher Educational Institutions in the Country.

The University is on an unending quest for knowledge production and dissemination, which has resulted in faculty members receiving awards such as four Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar awards, eight FNAs, eight FNAScs, eleven FAScs, two TWAS, a Senior Spallanzani Fellow, and sixteen Tamil Nadu Scientist Awards. Fourteen University faculty members, including the current Vice-Chancellor, have been appointed as Vice-Chancellors. Several alumni have IAS/IPS/IRS positions.

The University, which has 20 Schools and 77 Departments, provides 44 Post Graduate, 40 M.Phil, 57 Ph.D, and 17 diploma/ P.G. diploma/ certificate degrees and has generated around one crore graduates over the last 50 years. There are now 4650 UG/PG students and research researchers enrolled.

Admission Process for the MADURAI KAMRAJ UNIVERSITY:

The qualifying requirements for admission to MADURAI KAMRAJUNIVERSITY are as follows:
• The application date for MKU DDE's undergraduate, graduate, certificate, and diploma programmes for 2022-23 is September 30, 2022. An application fee of INR 200 is required for certificate and diploma programmes. An undergraduate degree application fee of INR 300 is required. However, the application cost for PG programmes is INR 400. Candidates who wish to enrol in the Madurai MBA/MCA programme must submit a deposit of 500 INR.
• MKU DDE will offer many courses for admission in July (Academic Session). Students can apply for programmes such as B.Ed., MA Economics, BA History, BA Tamil, and others. Prior exam scores are heavily weighted in determining admittance to Madurai University programmes.

Madurai Kama Raj University's faculty and facilities are among the best in Tamil Nadu. The public university provides 41 degree and professional programmes, including B.Sc., M.Sc., and M.A. degrees.
