ABOUT JIS UNIVERSITY:

JIS Group Educational Initiatives began its journey 24 years ago and is now the largest educational conglomerate in Eastern India with 37 institutions, 170 programmes, and 39,000 students. Although not being simple, the voyage has been fairly successful. JIS University was founded by the West Bengali government's JIS University Act, 2014 (West Bengal Act XXII of 2014), which went into effect in February 2015.

Question. Can I be admitted directly to JMS University?
Answer. No, all UG and PG courses at JMS University require entrance exams to be admitted. JIS University administers its own entrance exam, known as the JIS University Entrance Test (JET), which is appropriate for most of the courses, to determine admission to any of the courses. For admission to Engineering and Management programmes specifically, the institution also accepts results from a variety of state- and national-level entrance tests, such as WBJEE, MAT, XAT, and CAT. Only diploma programmes are excluded from the entrance exam applicants for these programmes are selected on the basis of merit.
