The first institution of its sort in Jharkhand and third in the nation to provide certificate, diploma, and degree programmes in the subject of internal security and police science is Jharkhand Raksha Shakti University.
The Old Judicial Academy building (SKIPA campus) on Meurs Road in Ranchi is where the University's operations are being carried out till the new structure is ready for use. Its permanent campus is being built on a large, 75-acre site close to Khunti, which is around 30 kilometers from Ranchi city.
