ABOUT J. C. BOSE UNIVERSITY OF SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY:
The Haryana State Legislative Act No. 21 of 2009 and the Haryana Government Gazette Notification No. 29 of 2009, both dated September 16, 2009, created the J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, Faridabad (formerly known as the YMCA University of Science and Technology).

It had a modest beginning in 1969 as the YMCA Institute of Engineering with an admission of 120 students before the University came into being. It was an Indo-German project, a partnership between the Punjab State Government and the National Council of YMCAs of India, with strong support from West German abroad agencies.

The State Government gave YMCAIE 20 acres of land during its formative years for the development of a teaching block, dorms, and residential complex. German knowledge was used to help build up the laboratory and workshops. From the year 1994 onward, the State Government began sponsoring YMCAIE at 100% grant-in-aid, and in the year 1998, it gained control of the management and the resources. By virtue of Legislative Act 21 of 2009, the YMCAIE became the University. The University was given 12(B) status by the UGC in 2012, allowing it to apply for funds from the UGC.

The University distinguishes itself from other Universities of Haryana since it has preserved the key components of German education. The advanced machinery and tools in the workshops and labs allow the students to operate various machines on their own to get in-depth information and become proficient in their particular fields of study.

Because its graduates are the top executives in business and industry, the university has a strong network of former students. They have made a substantial contribution to the techno-economic progress of the nation as well as the industrial development of Faridabad.

J. C. BOSE UNIVERSITY OF SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY FACILITIES:
Counseling and prevention services as well as student health services will be located at the student wellness center. Since the prior campuses were spread out, it was challenging for students to get access to comprehensive medical care. Two-thirds of the entire cost will be covered by the YMCA's contribution. All WSU students, including those who have physical limitations, will be served by the institution, which will also provide community services. The WSU Athletic Complex and Athletic Center are located on the university's campus.
