ABOUT IIHMR UNIVERSITY:
The Indian Institute of Health Management Research (IIHMR), which was founded on October 5, 1984, served as the impetus for the creation of IIHMR University. The IIHMR Institution, Jaipur Act, 2014, which was passed by the Government of Rajasthan, founded and incorporated IIHMR University as a postgraduate research university (Act No. 3, of 2014). IIHMR University is ranked 90th in NIRF 2022, has UGC recognition, and NAAC accreditation (Management). The organisational culture at IIHMR University is distinctive and upholds the ethos and key principles of independence, responsibility, openness, and transparency. A supportive atmosphere for learning, professional development, and advancement is provided by the multidisciplinary teams of academic members covering public health, management, economics, statistics, demography, social and behavioural sciences.

The IIHMR University has made a substantial contribution to the development of in-service professionals' capabilities. For participants from around the nation and the world who are employed by governmental, national and international NGOs, and private sector organisations, the university has regularly engaged in capacity development programmes. For the District Level Medical Officers of the Government of Rajasthan (sponsored by MOHFW-GOI), we organised Management Development Programs (MDPs), WHO Fellowship Programs, Professional Development Courses (PDCs) in Management, Public Health and Health Sector Reforms, and Customized Training Programs for various organisations. For many years, we have planned courses on how to finance healthcare in developing nations.

More than 100 mid-level staff members working for the Universal Immunization Program received training in vaccine economics through an initiative we organised in partnership with Johns Hopkins University in the USA.
