About HINDI UNIVERSITY:

Higher education offered in the Hindi language had long been sought after by West Bengal's Hindi-speaking populations. There was once a UG and PG level Hindi course. The Honb'le Chief Minister of West Bengal, Srimati Mamata Banerjee, however, was the one to step forward and meet this justifiable demand for higher education in Hindi medium. Aside from the border region Paschim Bardhaman, Hindi-speaking individuals may be found all across the state, however their population density is mostly concentrated in the districts of Kolkata, Howrah, South 24 Parganas, and Hooghly (South East portion). In close proximity to the center of this radius lies the town of Howrah. It makes sense that the State Government wisely picked Howrah to host Hindi classes there.

The West Bengal Legislative Assembly enacted the Hindi University Act (West Bengal Act XXI of 2019), which was published in the Gazette on January 10, 2020. Therefore, the 10th of January should be considered the Hindi University's founding day.

HINDI UNIVERSITY FACULTY:

Additionally, the university has been making an effort to sign up with E-ShodhSindhu: Consortium for Higher Education Electronics so that students and professors may both access common journals for advanced studies.
