ABOUT GAWAHATI UNIVERSITY INSTITIUTE OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY:

Admission Process for the GAWAHATI UNIVERSITY INSTITIUTE OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY:

The qualifying requirements for admission to GAWAHATI UNIVERSITY INSTITIUTE OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGYare as follows:
• JEE Main or CEE (Assam) score is used to determine eligibility for admission to the B.Techprogramme. Candidates that successfully meet the cutoff requirements will receive a call for the counselling procedure.
• On the university website, Guwahati University will publish the counselling list along with the day, time, and location of counselling. Candidates seeking admission to the B.Tech (Lateral) programme will be accepted based on their performance in the GU Entrance Exam.

GAWAHATI UNIVERSITY INSTITIUTE OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY FACILITIES:
There are 24 student residences in all, 12 girls' residences and 12 boys' residences, as well as 3 residences (two for boys and one for girls) for scholars. Each of the hostels has a distinguished alumni list that is unique to it. These dormitories have their own housekeeping and security teams. The warden, who is often a student, is the standard inclusion in any hostel. Then there are prefects who assist the wardens (from the various hostel boundaries). The hostels have their own Mess Committee that runs on a "no loss, no gain" philosophy.
