ABOUT DELHI TECHNOLOGICAL UNIVERSITY:
"75 Years of Excellence Tradition in Engineering & Technology Education, Research, and Innovations" Delhi College of Engineering, originally known as Delhi Polytechnic, was founded in 1941 to meet the demand for skilled technical workers in Indian businesses who had both practical experience and solid academic understanding. The organisation was founded as a follow-up to the Wood and Abott Committee of 1938 on the historic Kashmere Gate campus. It included a multidisciplinary institution with many levels that offered extensive programmes in engineering, technology, the arts and sculpting, architecture, pharmacy, and business. For employment reasons, the institution's national diploma was accepted as being on par with a degree.

In 1952, the institution began formally offering degree-level programmes after becoming affiliated with the University of Delhi. Later, the architecture department evolved into the School of Planning and Architecture, which is currently a Deemed University and Institution of National Importance. To commemorate the opening of the IIT Delhi at its new location in Hauz Khas, the department of Arts and Sculpture was renamed College of Arts, while the departments of Chemical Technology and Textile Technology were all moved out together. Later, Prof. A Das Gupta of DCE disbanded the department of commerce and formed the faculty of management studies at the University of Delhi.

The College was directly supervised by the Ministry of Education, Government of India, till 1962. The college's management was turned over to Delhi Administration in 1963. The Department of Technical Education & Training, Government of the NCT of Delhi, had administrative jurisdiction over Delhi College of Engineering. The institution has been associated with the University of Delhi since 1952 for academic reasons. According to Delhi Act 6 of 2009, the DCE became the Delhi Technological University in July 2009.

DELHI TECHNOLOGICAL UNIVERSITY FACILITIES:
A total of 164 acres made up the campus. They provide a variety of amenities, including spacious, modern classrooms.
