ABOUT DELHI PHARMACEUTICAL SCIENCE AND RESEARCH UNIVERSITY:

The first pharmacy school in India and third in the world, Delhi Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research University (DPSRU), was founded by Act 07 of the Delhi State Legislature in 2008 and began operations in 2015. It is a state government university that receives 100% grant funding and is approved under UGC Sections 2f and 22. The University's history spans 57 years, beginning with the D. Pharm. in Polytechnic in 1964, the College of Pharmacy in 1972, and the Delhi Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research (DIPSAR), which was transformed into the current DPSRU in 2004. 

Its campus occupies a total area of 10.36 acres. With 2600 students, 90 faculty members, 136 support staff members, and over 4 certificate, 3 diploma, 7 undergraduate, 24 postgraduate, and 8 PhD programmes now offered, the school has around 2600 students. In addition, the University intends to launch two new programmes, a B.Sc. in nursing and a B.Sc. in biomedical sciences. The university has the resources to provide thorough teaching and learning and carry out research to meet the needs of many industry sectors. In addition to having outstanding academic programmes, as implied by the university's name, it also has a solid foundation in research and innovation.

Twelve DPSRU faculty members made the list of the top 20,000 scientists in the world in a recent PLOS Biology article. The faculty regularly produces high-caliber articles in publications with high impact factors. The focus is on innovation and incubation for the growth of entrepreneurship, in addition to the publishing of research papers, books, and filing of patents. 18 companies that have a variety of goods on the market were supported by the university.
