ABOUT BIHAR ANIMAL SCIENCE UNIVERSITY:
A Bihar State law created the Bihar Animal Sciences University (BASU), which has its seat in Patna (BASU Act No. 15 of 2016, notified in the Bihar Gazette on 29 August 2016). The first Vice-Chancellor was appointed on June 13, 2017, and the university officially opened that day. Bihar Veterinary College and Sanjay Gandhi Institute of Dairy Technology, two of the Bihar Agricultural University's constituent institutions in Patna, were transferred to the new university, while a brand-new College of Fisheries was established in 2018.
The Bihar Veterinary College and the Sanjay Gandhi Institute of Dairy Technology, two of the Bihar Agricultural University's constituent colleges in Patna, have been moved to the BASU.
The institution offers programmes in veterinary science, animal husbandry, dairy technology, and fisheries sciences, among other disciplines. For admittance into the B.V.Sc. and A.H. programmes, students can apply to the university via the NEET, and it also administers its own test for all other programmes.

Separate dormitories for boys and females are offered at BVC and SGIDT on the BASU campus in Patna. It is not permissible to include lodging at a hostel toward qualifying. College students may be permitted to reside outside in the hostel as day scholars with the approval of the appropriate authority of the University and their guardian.

BIHAR ANIMAL SCIENCE UNIVERSITY LABS:
The lab is furnished with a variety of instrument models and testing supplies. All of the necessary equipment is available in our physics labs in sufficient quantities to allow each student teacher to complete his practical independently.

BIHAR ANIMAL SCIENCE UNIVERSITY OBJECTIVES:
To set up the delivery of education in several fields of study, especially veterinary science and animal husbandry, poultry, fisheries, dairy, and other related fields of learning and scholarship. to enhance research and learning, especially in veterinary and animal sciences and other related fields of study.
