About AWADESH PRATAP SINGHUNIVERSITY:

150 colleges in the districts of Rewa, Satna, Sidhi, Shahdol, Umariya, and Singrauli are under the authority of the APS University, a teaching- and research-focused institution of higher learning.

Captain Awadhesh Pratap Singh, a notable native son and independence warrior, is the name of the university. Founded on July 20, 1968, the university received UGC accreditation in February 1972. It belongs to both the All Commonwealth Association of Universities and the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) (ACAU).

The University sits 5 kilometers north of Rewa City on a 246.20-acre tract of ground, with its campus situated on each side of Rewa-Sirmour Road. The University complex includes the Environmental Biology, Physics, Science, Humanities, and Ambedkar Bhawan (Hindi Department) departments, as well as the USIC, Central Library, Antarbharati, Arjun Chhatra Griha, Guest House, Yoga Hall Hostels for Boys and Girls, Auditorium, Stadium, and Staff Quarters. It also includes the overlooking administrative block. Additionally, the campus has offices of the Indian Post Office, Employment Bureau, and Allahabad Bank in addition to a medical facility. A modest meteorological observatory and a seismological observatory are both in the works.

The University Campus, which is quaint and ecologically friendly and is located away from the rush of city life, sits at the foot of Vindhyas. The Campus recreates the atmosphere of bygone Ashrams.
