In the Indian state of Assam, the Assam Down Town University was founded in 2010 under the Assam Down Town University Act. The institution is situated at Panikhaiti, in Assam's capital city of Guwahati. The college is principally located on a 42-acre campus that overlooks the Brahmaputra River and is only 12 km from Dispur, the state of Assam's capital complex, which houses the Assam State Secretariat.
