ABOUT AHMEDABAD UNIVERSITY:
Ahmedabad Education Society (AES), a non-profit educational organisation with offices in Ahmedabad, established Ahmedabad University in 2009. The goal of Ahmedabad University is to lead the way in providing liberal arts education at research universities worldwide. An education in Ahmedabad is characterised by its interdisciplinary curriculum, immersive learning atmosphere, and research. Beyond the physical boundaries, we are rethinking the classroom and emphasising each student's holistic development in a stimulating and supportive setting.

Ahmedabad Education Organization established Ahmedabad University (AES). Ahmedabad is home to the nonprofit educational foundation AES. More than 80 years ago, eminent figures like Kasturbhai Lalbhai, the dean of the Indian textile industry, Ganesh Mavalankar, the first Speaker of the Indian Parliament, and Amrutlal Hargovandas, a well-known industrialist from Ahmedabad, established AES at the request of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the country's first Home Minister. AES believed that the institution will contribute to the advancement of education in Gujarat, India, and beyond the world.

AES and its founders had a substantial impact on the establishment of other national organisations, including the Physical Research Laboratory, the Center for Environmental Planning and Technology, the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad, and the National Institute of Design (CEPT). Reputable institutions including the MG College of Science, LD College of Arts, HL College of Commerce, LM College of Pharmacy, AG Teachers College, and LD Institute of Indology are among those supported by the Foundation.

AES will be at the top of the list when the history of educational enabling in India is written because of its incredible perspective and track record of creating world-class institutions both independently and in collaboration with the government, where land, funding, and frequently management were provided by the leaders of AES.
